DTIBR Course Methodology

We do not want to train theorists. We want to prepare good professionals.

1. Introduction

Centro DTIBR is made up of a multidisciplinary team of carefully selected professionals. Each of them studies, researches and works on the topics of their choice, and holds advanced academic degrees. Our faculty therefore brings together people who know the subjects covered in the courses and actually work with them in practice.

Combining theory and practice is in our DNA.

We approach each topic not only from a strictly legal standpoint, but also through the other technical fields needed for a sound overall understanding of the subject, including Statistics, Computer Science, Economics and Data Analysis, among others.

All our courses aim to prepare participants to work in the market in a technical, ethical and secure way, across the most varied topics in Law, Technology and Innovation. We do not want to train theorists. We want to prepare good professionals.

Our methodology has been tested in numerous courses and activities, involving hundreds of people, and has been rated excellent by more than 90% of participants. It is therefore a well-established method that often serves as a model for other institutions. Below are some of its core principles.

2. Method

  1. Meticulous planning

We value quality over quantity. We only launch a course after rigorous planning stages. What drives us is the pursuit of excellence in every detail. That is why we make a point of announcing each course well in advance and keep the number of places limited, focusing on participant satisfaction and on making the most of their experience.

  2. Focus on putting knowledge into practice

We believe there is no point in studying something only superficially. Topics must be mastered to the point of being able to apply them in practice, with precision and confidence. That is why we do not limit ourselves to purely theoretical discussions. All courses focus on the reality of the market. We connect each subject to its actual application, through case studies and real situations. We also seek to highlight the main challenges and expectations of those who work in the field.

  3. Innovation

Innovation is not just part of our name: we make a point of practicing it every day, which is why we are constantly developing new offerings with a distinctive profile. Each of our courses is a unique experience. We do not simply repeat successful formulas. With each new course we review every topic, introduce new components and reshape the faculty in light of the feedback received. What our participants tell us is read, analyzed and genuinely taken into account.

  4. Teaching approach

We use clear and direct language, presenting technical terms in a light, accessible way that is always connected to concrete cases. We do not hold purely expository, one-way classes in which the teacher speaks and the students listen. On the contrary, we use a variety of teaching resources so that students take an active part, share their views, discuss, form critical opinions and become able to propose ways to prevent and tackle real problems.

  5. Inclusion and diversity

Quality does not have to be expensive. We work with inclusion and diversity goals in all our activities, bringing together people with varied backgrounds and experience, from undergraduates to highly experienced professionals, from Brazil and abroad, and from a wide range of academic fields and market sectors, to enable the exchange of different opinions and perspectives. We also charge less than market benchmarks (for courses of similar quality) and offer scholarships.

  6. Platforms and teaching assistants

In our online courses, we use a range of platforms and strategies to make the most of our students' experience. We have a highly trained and engaged team of teaching assistants who follow all activities and serve as a point of excellence in our contact with participants, including outside class hours, providing technical support, answering questions and sharing up-to-date material to foster discussion in our community.

  7. A lasting community

The experience with us goes far beyond a course. We encourage lasting interaction between the Centro DTIBR team and our alumni, as well as among the students themselves, for advice, answering questions, sharing proposals, news and opportunities. We maintain permanent, private discussion forums exclusive to our alumni, in order to build a lively, collaborative community that remains active even years after a course has ended.

  8. Networking and business opportunities

Several commercial and academic partnerships involving our students began to take shape within this community, based on the Centro DTIBR methodology. They later evolved into new business models or improvements to internal processes in a variety of public and private institutions.
