Description
Centro DTIBR's courses open to the public are back! This time, we present the first edition of our course Inteligência Artificial, Ciência de Dados e Direito: Aplicação na Prática (Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Law: Practical Application). It is the result of months of planning and is aimed at legal professionals in the public or private sector, both those who already work with Data Science and those who are unfamiliar with the subject but want to understand how new technological tools can work in their favor in their day-to-day work.
What is the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on legal decisions? How can I generate intelligence for decision-making in my law firm or company? What is the risk of being replaced by a “robot lawyer”? Our course will answer these and other relevant questions in a technical, well-grounded and realistic way. It will also examine the key points for applying Data Science across the most diverse fields of Law, demonstrating in practice how to use Jurimetrics tools.
Are you interested in the topic? Then take this opportunity and join us!
The course has two modules. The first is theoretical: it will bring participants to the same level and provide the conceptual foundations of the topic, so that even those who do not work with this subject in practice can understand it well and form their own critical opinion. This conceptual part covers topics such as AI regulation and its use in the Judiciary and in legal practice, and also addresses Jurimetrics. It is recommended for anyone interested in the topic.
The second module of the course is the practical part, designed to actually show how Data Science applied to Law works. In it, participants will be introduced to programming techniques and will learn to collect and use data as a decision-making tool, generate charts and even build a simplified artificial intelligence model!
The practical module is recommended for those who are not content with simply understanding Data Science and forming an opinion about it, but also want to work with the tools of this field. Those who choose this module must be willing to do programming exercises and actually use the technological tools covered throughout the course. It is hands-on!
Not sure? Don't worry, each module can be taken separately, as you prefer!

Certificate
A certificate will be issued by Centro DTIBR. If the full course is purchased (promotional tier/bundle), a single certificate will be issued to students who attend at least 06 modules (equivalent to approximately 66% of the course). If one or a few modules are purchased separately, an individual certificate will be issued for each module actually attended. The certificate will bear the name provided on the Sympla platform at registration, and no later corrections will be accepted. Therefore, before registering, set your name on the Sympla platform exactly as you would like it to appear on the certificate. Certificates will be sent within 30 (thirty) days after the last module of the course.
